Default Distributor problems....

I have a friend who has been having distributor problems, he cant get his car running, and we cant get this thing figured out.

He has a 1990 DX hatchback, with a HF harness inside the car
He swapped a 89 Si engine and wiring harness under the hood
He also put a 92-95 EX head on the engine
The ECU is also out of a 89 Si

He has tried about 4 different distributors, rewired some of them, and still can't get the car to fire up.

The car is throwing a CEL 15.

He wired up a switch and relay to bypass the ignition switch.

Today he put on a new cap and rotor, when he tried to start the car it fried the ignition coil and the relay to the ignition switch.......

Any help would be appreciated!!

Thanks,
Nick

Well your problem maybe, that your trying to use an OBD0 ECU with a OBD1 Distrubutor... right? I dont think there is a OBD0 SOHC Distributor that would work on that head.

If im totally wrong, check ALL of your wiring. Looks like you guys replaced a lot of it in there, and your going to have to make sure its all correct.
