95 accord auto... think tranny is slipping need help
the car i am working on is a 95 accord lx? auto has the non-vtech SOHC 2.2l in it
the car seems to be having some issues (hopefully minor) first of all if i floor it off the line, it will get to like 4500-5000 rpms and then just stay there till i let off the throttle and then it will shift the thing is that it doesn't seem to accelerate any faster if i floor it then if i just ease into the throttle. also if i am climbing long steep hills it will shift down but not keep up to speed.
i changed the fluid on it yesterday and it seemed to help some, but the problem is still there. is there an easy way to check if the tranny is slipping or could it be something else?
thanks
Danny

Reading from what you stated, it seems to me that your tranny was slipping. You could try this method, drive your car at low speed let say 30mph, brake hard to slow down the car then let go the brake and floor the gas. If your car revs high but won't pick up the speed then it slips.
You may also want to check engine performance items, such as plugs, wires, etc. as they can directly affect transmission shifting.
