they wired my tail lights wrong!
Here is what happened. I own a v6 accord sedan. I previously had on altezza tail lights and you all know the placement of the bulbs are a little different than stock tail lights. Last Fall I had a new alarm put in with the clifford solaris and I think somehow they had to splice my rear tail lights to connect to the alarm system. You can see how they spliced it for other connections in the pics. I think somehow during this procedure they mistakingly connected the wrong regular light into the stop light bulb as you can see in the picture. I checked with my manual and sure enough when I flipped on my headlights the stop light bulb lit up. Can someone confirm this with me by looking at the pics and wiring and tell me if I can fix it on my own or should I bring it back to them.

In the above picture I have the headlight switched to the on position and as you can see the brake light is on, the bulb that I am holding should be on instead right?

Here is a pic of my manual and it says on there the flat bulb should be my stop light. I know it's a little blurry but that's what it says.

where did you have your alarm installed? they should have hooked the parking light wire in the drivers kick panel i would take that **** back and make them hook up the wire in the kick pane or tell them to catch the negative parking light wire at the column.
I agree with kcem1, take it back, there is no reason to connect the "park lights" in that manner, most Honda/Acuras have a park light free pin on the fuse box, I do not understand why they would go through all the trouble of running the wire for the light flash all the way to the back of the car

so the 2 of you agree that my light setup is wrong? or is it correct and u guys just don't like the way he wired it? anybody have any wire diagram as to the original color wires to each of the 3 bulbs? the alarm was installed last fall by an authorized clifford dealer in hatboro, pa and I had a fog light installed by midas about 3 months ago, I really don't know which one of the 2 places spliced my wires because both has to do with rear tail lights. thanks
It makes no diff. alarm or fog lights there is no good reason for running wires to the tail lights, it's extra work, extra wire and extra connections, [extending wires]
Its very hard to tell from the pix where the connections are, all I can see is bulb housings and molex plugs and wire running from one to the other, I looked at my 94 Teg , don't know if its the same but, side marker, [park light] is red/black and black, signal light is green/yellow and black, tail/brake light, [2 filliment bulb] is red/black [tail light] green/white [brake light] and black] and as red/black is park light/dash light, [illumination] on every Honda/Acura I have seen and green/white is brake on every H/A I have seen, http://www.bulldogsecurity.com I would think it's the same in your Accord up to 99 after that they changed to white/black for the brake, at the brake switch anyway.

today, I called the place who installed my alarm and asked about the wirings in the rear tail lights. They said they wire the flashers in my alarm under the dash. So, they did do it right by connecting through the driver kick panel. This leaves me to believe the only other place that could have done this is midas because they installed my fog lights but why would they touch my rear tail lights? the other possibility is i had a previous alarm installed prior to clifford and they could have done it.
