Default Skunk2 Pro Manifold

I just ordered my Skunk2 Pro Manifold for my GSR. Nobody has no real info on it but i needed a manifold so i got it for the same price or cheaper as the old one so i figured i had nothing to lose being the test dummy. The set up im going to use it on is just a basic CTR Intake cam, I/H/E/C VAFC/FPR CAM gears. Hope to have it all done in the next couple weeks/pay checks so we will see what it does.

Very nice, same setup as what I have except I am running a USDM ITR ecu and both CTR cams. Here's to hoping you make some good power

Runs very rich I think, I'm not too sure. The cams are set a 0,0 and it feels decent, though recently I think performance has started to get worse compared to when I first drove it. Might just be a mental thing.
It definitely pulls much harder in the midrange, and crossing over into vtec is loud as ****. Plus the gas pedal vibrates like mad, not sure why.

wow, how long have u had this set up, and did u get it tuned?. I wonder why it would be worst. what other mods are u running besides the cams and manifold?

I should clarify, when I say worse I mean worse than when the cams first went in, not worse than stock. Its definitely an improvement over stock, but I was expecting more. Again, could be all in my head though, like I'm getting to it.
Its not tuned yet, I have some faulty adjustable gears on there so nothing can be done about that. Other than the cams and IM, its just the boltons and the ecu (which is coming out for an obd2-1 conversion + a basemap tune). VAFC2 is not in yet, but I'm not sure that it would help me now (or later for that matter).

well hopefully the whole set up of everthing i have willl work together and I will see some good gains. As far as the chipped ECU i was told that they are not worth it cause all they do is just add fuel but dont do nothing with the timing, but if i did get one i would make sure its on the car while im getting everything tuned.

i also have pretty much the same set-up. im running a chipped p28 ecu and it still runs pretty rich in the higher RPMs. im saving up for a VAFC and a tune, hopefully thatll help.

yea chipped may claim to make alot of power, but the cars that they were tuned and created on more than likely were running a much higher set up than our set ups in which it could have had high compression which in turn required to dump alot of fuel at certain points so when u slap that same chip on a tuned down car u may help it in some areas but hurt it in others, but I dont think chipped ECUs are a good investment UNTIL you have done your head work, AND have tuning devices such as a VAFC and FPR to tune the motor on the DYNO as soon as u slap it on. Thats why I made sure that after i got all my bolt ons I/H/E/C i then got my fuel tuning stuff (FPR and VAFC) so as soon as i dropped in my cams and gears and manifold, I could then get a chipped ECU and then properly DYNO tune it to make sure I am getting the best that I can get out of the motor, not try to tune it with cam gears one day then go back and buy a FPR and Vafc and try to come back and tune it some more. Any way that has been my plan and so far everything is good and withing a few weeks we will hopefully see if it all paid off

I got my manifold today, it looks pretty good. only things that I didnt understand stand was why the box had one part number on it but the CARB sticker had a different one. then the date stamped on the manifold was like 06 21 04 but i thought the manifold just came out this year. But either way I called skunk2 to varify all of this and they assured me that it was a legit manifold. Whats the reason for the popularity of the hondata intake manifold?

if you are talking about the gasket, it is popular because it is supposed to lower intake temps. i have one on mine as well.
