so heres my question.i have the 93si d16z6 motor in my car and i'm having problems starting it now.it cranks over but doesn't start.the other day i got on the gas hard hit just over 5 grand and it cut out on me like i hit the rev limiter.i had just under a 1/4 tank of gas.got to the light and it stalled out on me.it took a little bit to start drove 150 feet to the gas station put some 3/4's of a tank of 89 in it and couldn't get it to start back up.finally after 5minutes of cranking it started but but had to feather the gas to get it going.you guys have any clues?

i want to change the intake to th 96 ex y8.will i have any problems doing that? i believe i have the engine harness from the 96 and everything from the upper half of the motor.thanks for your help.

 

Could be a bunch of things. Is there a check engine light? Did you set the timing of the motor? Have you changed your fuel filter lately? Cap, rotor, plugs?

 

plugs look ok,brand new cap and rotor,coil and igniter are good,timing is good,got good spark and fuel.i havent changed the fuel filter lately.no engine light.

same thing is happening to me. Take the injectors off and see if they are firing. Use a small rag for them to spray into. Check fuses and what ODB injectors are you using?

 

obd 1 i have a 92cx hatch with a 93 si motor d16z6.i'll have to see if the injectors are firing.
