If building h23 vtec, do i need to change oil pump to h22?

Default If building h23 vtec, do i need to change oil pump to h22?

I just wondering if i need to change it because the h22 needs more oil pressure for the vtec. correct me if I'm wrogn. Thanks.

I'm not sure if there any differences between the pumps... But I didn't switch them on my H23VTEC... But mine failed anyways so what do I know...

To be safe why don't you just put in a H22 oil pump?

Yeap you would be wrong. They are the exact same oil pump (H23/H22 92-95). The difference in the OBD2 (96 H23 96-01 H22) oil pumps are the taps for the crank pickup hope this helps

VTEC functioned flawlessly... But the pumps are the same so that is expected...
