Default Sweet smell from exhaust

My friend says that when he's behind me he can faintly smell something sweet in my exhaust when I'm in the upper rev ranges. Not just when I'm in VTEC, it seems like its doing it at 4500rpm and higher. Even when I'm in VTEC there is never visible smoke from the exhaust. Any ideas what it is, is it normal?

hehe byebye headgasket

Ive seen plenty coolant probs that dont smoke. You could have a problem in your coolant system thats leaking because of coolant pressure at high RPMs, check for leaking coolant upfront. If nothings leaking in your bay, your probably burning a very light bit of coolant through your motor. Probably a headgasket or very minor crack in your block. Check compression.

If your plugs have a greenish hue to them.... it's probably the HG as already stated previously. If they are also a bit white that is a good indication of the HG as well.

Ok, so should there not be any smell from the exhaust, except in vtec. It smells like burnt fuel to me.

it's a good thing doing a head gasket is easy in a honda. . . try in a v8. . . talk about a lot of work lol. good luck should only take a couple hours. we did it in my friend's crx, he has a zc motor in it, like 3 hours to have it off, cleaned back on and running again! could never do that in a camaro. . .
