HELP!!!90 Si cranking but aint firin up.....

Default HELP!!!90 Si cranking but aint firin up.....

To start this off, I was drivin and all of a sudden the car shuts off...open the hood up and noticed the dizzy was smokin...ignitor went out..all wires inside were fried..so great I need a new one, no big deal...Was able to get a brand new dizzy,or should say a refurbished one..still car wont start, checked all wiring and ground, there is spark coming from the wires.....totally stock single cam zc motor....my daily driver car...anyone knows whats up...appreciate al the help I need..Thanks

You might have fried some other components in your car. Hopefully not the ecu either.

One of my friends told me that the fuel injection relay might be bad...are these common to go out?....havent had the time to look at it...but i will this weekend..

Have you looked at something simple like the starter. Mine went bad a couple weeks ago, try tapping on the starter while someone is trying to turn it over. If it cranks than you know thats what you need to replace.

wrong info for one why would the dizzy short out if the starter went out its in the wiring to the dizzz. check all the fueses under the hood and under the dash if that checks out then try check the all the wires from the ecu to the dizzy with a multimeter to find the short. if you need more help just ask good luck i hope you get her runnoing soon

Thanks..Like i said..its cranking,but wont fire fire..so I know it aint the starter..i will check all the wiring and this weekend to see if any voltage is runnin thru..

that wasnt for you also do you hear the main relay click on or do you hear the fuel pump come on also when you reinstalled the dizzy cap did you install the plug wires in the right order or did you plug the dizzy back up

You know....im not quite sure....i need to check on that...thanks....but as far as the dizzy goes...its a brand new one...took the plugs right off the old dizzy and plugged it in order one by one...

check coil also because this is very known to go out just like that and mabye a result after the igniter

have you checked the timing was within (I think its a 20 degree range) thats what was wrong with my 300zx after I installed a new dizzy
