Hey man,

This Hondata S200, is it similiar to the HONDATA Reflash #4 for the RSX-S???

What if i was to apply the Hondata S200 Ecu to a stock ITR w/just an AEM CAI??? is there power increase ? higher rev?

I know for the K20A2 (type s) theres like a 15-20hp gain in that sucker... how is it for the ITR? consider i just have a CAI.

Hondata is a programmable ECU. You can make the rev limiter higher or lower, VTEC cutover higher or lower, add or remove fuel, add or remove timing.

how can it feel just like an rsx when stock for stock the ITR is faster and drives/powerband is totally different.

BTW - what would be the best way to tune it to an ITR w/just intake?.. would it be worth it? how much of a power increase would i be lookn at? or advantage in the 1/.4?.. or let me rephrase this.. tuned CORRECT what jkind of hp gain would i get?

PS- i had an RSX.... it doesnt compare.

i got lost more power in the lower revs and not so much in the higher kinda like my rsx. when my r was stock i had hudge power up high and i love that. but ya of course i got more power and my car was faster but it wasnt the power that i liked. so thats pretty much why iam back to stock ecu.

so when did your power kick in ? versus stock 5800-6000rpms.. and what was your redline cutoff? shifting point?

so im assming it wasn't worth it then eh... did you have any other mods other then the ECU? did you get a post/after dyno?

i think you need more supporting mods to get the most potential out of the hondata...i/e/h would not even come clost..those are just bolts on, plus imo you cant tune those...U need some cams, cam gears...those are the things ur suppose to tune..I would like to know what brand i/h/e you have...personally IMO the Aem Cai is garbage....u'll probably see a 2whp gain if any....get a J's intake, or mugen or even a comptech ice box....goodluck though

Come on Ryan, tell us how you REALLY feel.

But yeah, you can tune a bone stock motor, motor with I/H/E, whatever you want, with Hondata/VAFC/Uberdata/Whatever and make some power typically.

Flattening out the A/F curve, for one thing, is a bonus for power and the stock computer doesn't adjust for any mods after the throttle body (A MAP sensor likely does a reasonable job for mods before the TB, like intakes and such).

Can you rephrase that, in english?

What was your power before and after, did you gain midrange? A lot of people tend to make gains across the board, but not necessarily right at peak.

The "area under the curve" is your friend. Take calculus.
