Default alpine 1005 system......installing vcr/dvd player

how do i install a dvd player (home version style) or vcr to work with the alpine 1005 system? i dont want wires dangling at my cig lighter for power.

also wondering if the bypass wiring for the alpine system to be on when vehicle is in motion is necessary or not. i heard that all u got to do is ground a wire from the e-brake................

There are several companies that make a bypass switch for the e-brake/foot brake signals.
Also, using a home dvd player/vcr isnt the best choice because of the temperatures and vibrations present in the vehicle.

just ground the e brake wire from the cva 1005 . if that does not work then hook it up to the e brake but loosen the e brake cable so you can pull it up one notch without it acually applying the brake to the tires .
