Default question about injectors

i know this is dumb and i shouldve asked this a long time ago, but a year and a half ago i swapped a b18c1 into my 90 ls. didnt know much about the injectors back then but i used the gsr injectors and still running odb0. i just switch the injector clips and plugged them in. i know both gsr and ls flow the same but ones low resistance/peak&hold and the other is high/saturated. is there any problem running wut i have set up? its been a year and a half and havent had any problems that i can see or tell. also i didnt pass my smog test with high nox and could the injectors have anything to do with it? any help would be appriciated. thanx.

Theres usually a resistor box you run with the low impedance injectors. You can also wire up some high wattage ones from radio shack.

I would think that if you plugged in low impedance injectors without the resistors you would fry the ECU. And if you ran high impedance injectors with a resistor box the injectors might not open all the way.

The latter would cause you to run lean and give high NOx readings I would think.

Use an ohmeter and measure the resistance to see how many ohms they are. If they are low like around 1 or 2 ohms, you will need the resistor box. If they are around 12-14 ohms, you will not need the resistor box and you can take it out. I think if you do a search there was a post about how to take the box out ie. what wires to cut.

Good luck and I don't know if it would cause the emissions to be off that much. It might be something else in your emission system.

heres my air/fuel ratio when i had it dynoed a couple months ago. n/a the ratio was around 12.8 and on nitrous it was around 15.3. i might just find a cheap set of 90-91 integra injectors and put those in just incase unless i can find some 92-96 prelude injectors .
