Default y8 manifold in my a6?

Im installing a complete y8 intake manifold and throttle body on my obd0 a6, do I transfer my a6 dashpot into the y8 throttle body or just leave it off. The y8 throttle body does not use a dashpot. Thanks in advance.

just leave it off, and another thing for you with the Y8 IM, You gotta mount your IAT either in the manifold....requires tap and die set, or drill a hole in your short ram or CAI pipe for it and extend the wires.

just do what I did. Take the IAT, drill a hole in your air intake tube to fit it. Then just use two self tapping screws to hold it in place. I also used a little bit of black silicon sealant to seal it.

I diddnt even hookup the dashpot that is on the y8 fuel rail. Just cap it off.

Good luck, you'll like the y8 intake.

How did you lengthen your fuel return hose I notice the y8 fpr is on the opposite side.

It should reach if you reroute it behind the master cylinder.
