Default best ecu/piggyback solution for stock cams and boltons

What is the best way to make power on the stock cams with typical bolt-ons (2.5" header, highflo cat, exhaust, intake, etc). Is the solution as simple as a vtec/fuel controller, or would I be better off with a ecu like a Mugen or something? Basically, I have all the boltons allowed--now I need to extract the most power out of them legally. And I figure the ecu is the best place to do this.

Few restrictions though: I cannot control fuel both mechanically and electronically (this means no FPR and ecu together) and and I cannot convert to OBD-I (SCCA rules, not mine). Car is my 2000 ITR.

Well, since no piggyback actually controls fuel, you should be fine going with
any of those. And and FPR to go along with it is a good combo.

Well, I currently have a Field SFC-vtec in the car right now. I think they consider it as being able to modify the fuel. I was just wondering if an ecu would benefit me more than the Field unit would.

Only reason I would think of an ecu is to raise the revlimiter.
If you have the field unit in the car right now, try to add fuel, I am guessing that at certain rpms(like around VTEC) the field unit will blink OF, meaning tht it is maxed out already. Like mentioned already get a fuel pressure regulator.

Do some research on the Buddyclub Racing spec computer (pretty much like the Greddy E-manage) this is a peggyback system and very high tunability over VAFC and SFCV.
