Default b18c1 head removal

I am probably going to remove my head on my GSr today so I can start getting the block ready to be shipped out for a build. I have a Helms, and it seems pretty straight forward. But i was wondering if there are any special tools I will need, or any warnings or anything.

nope... nothing special... take your header/exhaust manifold off, but leave the intake manifold on, it's the easiest way. The hardest part is getting hte intake manifold brace unbolted from either the block or im. thats about it. then it will pull off if you've removed all the sensors/vaccuum lines/coolant hoses.

i really dont think u needed any special tools...Just follow the Helms closely, then you should be fine...the only thing u need to be extra careful is the sequence of loosening the head...and make sure that the whole car is cold so u wont strip any bolts...it should not be that hard at all

The engine is sitting on a pallet so getting the IM support bolts off has already been sone when I did the skunk2 mani. Thanks guys for the support, for some reason I was thinking this would be a much more detailed job.
