Question about lowering a prelude

Default Question about lowering a prelude

i dunno anything about lowering a car, is there any special tips?
how many jackstands do i need? is the one in the trunk ok to use?
what do i have to do with bumpstops?
what kind of tools do i need? the size of the bolts and stuff
any information for lowering would be good thx!

btw, i have 95 prelude si, and koni yellows and H&R race, Eibach Sportline, ready to install
im a daily driver and i still dunno which springs would be better. any comment would be
appreciated

you need a 12mm,14mm and a 17mm sockets. jack up the front put both sides on jack stands when your done with the front do the same to the back. do you need to take the stock struts apart to use the the top hat, if so be carefull when you taking it apart, it will pop pretty hard si i suggest getting a spring compressor or putting a tire flat on the ground with thge strut flat on the ground with the bottom of the strut against the tire and pop it that waybut still be carefull and watch were the bolt and washers go if they fly off the strut. cut the bumpstop in half and reistall the top half. truthfuly i would take it to a shop if you have no clue what your doing or have someone help you that knows what their doing before anything gets screwed up

Buy a Helms manual and it will tell you how and what tools you need to do the job right, then buy the tools and take your time installing everything.

i charge my customers about $80 flat rate in san diego but it could be more or less in your area

does anyone know a good and pretty cheap place for installing shocks/springs in BAY AREA?
