Barcelona MotoGP--it's all about the tires
Rossi did it again, showing his mastery even down to the tire choice. If Gibernau had a harder compound, he might've won the thing. I really wish Gibernau did have a harder compound, it would've made for an even more thrilling race.
Too bad for Nicky Hayden. If he had a harder compound tire, he probably could've gotten on the podium. I want to see that guy up there someday. It seems he's got the speed, maybe not the strategy yet.
Man, there's just so much to think about in racing. From the myriad suspension settings, rake/trail, engine, exhaust, mapping, frame, tire choices, tire pressure, etc., etc., ad nauseaum. That's before you get on the track. then you gotta pick your lines, gear choice, throttle, front brake, rear brake, body placement, etc.
i'm sure the riders gotta maintain a certain weight too.
i love it.

Rossi also set a new lap record in the last 3 laps after he passed Sete. He did that on worn out tires too. Man got skills to pay the bills.
