swapping key locks (ignition and door)
hey guys, my car got totaled and i found another civic shell to switch everything over to. on the shell, the ignition key is different from the doors locks. is there a way i can switch my door locks and the part where i stick the key into the ignition over onto the new shell? the shell is a 92 dx and my car is a 93 dx if that helps.
heres a better idea.. If you have a key to the door locks on the new shell.. removed the ignition and taken it and your door lock key into a locksmith and they can repin that lock to fit your door lock key.. Total cost shouldnt be more than 10 bucks.. Save you some time and you can sell the ignition lock set from the other car

I would recommend the same. It is a lot less trouble. Up to you though.

The ignition cylinder is alot easier to remove than the door lock cylinders. Just make sure you have the key handy, or you won't be taking it out - you'll find out why.
