Default omni power help

i installed my omni powers yesterday in my dc2 and the rear shocks are very long. When i screwed the bracket all the way on the shock, my car has about 2 finger gaps with 0 preload. I have itr LCA's. is it suppose to be like this or did i get the wrong coilover assembly?

No did you set your shocks 2 inches shorters than the stock? Thats the base of where you start to lower the car. I didnt preload mine, I drop mine all the way and it was tucking atleast two finger in.

since the spring trates are higher than stock, you need to lower the coil even more than you would think because with stock lower rates it will compress more than a harder spring.

^^^that is not true at all, preload the spring and you will get around 2-3 inches of thread that you can use to adjust the lower collar and drop the car more. preloading the spring does not reduce shock travel.

Oh i see what you are saying, i thought you meant the lowar collar could not be adjusted anymore because the spring perch was in the way. hmmmmm thats wierd. i don't see a solution other then moving the spring perches down, but i would not do that.

On that note, he picked it up locally, and he picked it up in 4 different, unlabelled boxes. Is that how Omni ships them out? Now, with the 3 coilover systems I've had my hands on, they were all in 1 box, properly marked with the vehicle and spring rate information. </TD></TR></TABLE>

should of been one big box with four coilovers in their own packaging and boxes inside it. the application and rates are listed on the main box they come in.

if he got itr, there isnt really any other type or application he could of gotten, cause of the eyelet/box style lca's. they are different then the ek/eg/dc2, etc

only thing close is the 89 ball style crx setups~
