Default ITR tranissmion = tripple cone synchronizers ?

Me and my brother where going through a rebuild on his GSR transmission a while ago. We where researching this, and the dealer made us aware that the ITR transmission makes no use of such things wether on the 2nd or 3rd gear or otherwise. And it would be extremly costly to get it from the dealer because you would have to buy it with the gearset/s. Do these tranmissions really make use of tripple cone synchronizers? Anybody have pics from a rebuild... e.t.c.

P.S. I have been searching for about 2hours now with no luck.

no integra, whether it be an ITR, GSR, LS, etc. use triple cone synchros

and yes, the acura dealer does not sell synchros separately, you have to buy it with the gear sets...

there is a company, a sponsor of Honda-tech that does sell synchros by themselves at a much cheaper price

Why do so many people claim that the ITR transmission has tripple cone synchronizers. Does anybody have anything that can truly obolish this myth (or vice versa) a picture would be nice.

I recently bought and Willard installed a set of syncros from them in my tranny. We noticed that the syncros were thicker/stronger and had that carbon coating that should help with shifting. After they were installed I went to Expo, tracked then drove home and without any problems from them. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a new set.
The price is great and the service was perfect, I had them sent to Will's house and they arrived in the exact amount of time that Kandy from Gearspeed said they would.

<--- would buy from them again in a second.

I second what Bbasso said about Gear-Speed.

Also, I am pretty sure the 1-2 synchro is a double cone. Dont quote me tho, I just took a crap load of pain killers..

Only the 05, S2000 have triple synchro. No integra, whether it be an ITR, GSR, LS, etc uses triple synchro.

There's another forum for those ... planning on putting one of them in your DC2R?
