help- Whats pistions should I use for my B17A
Wassap Tech buddies, I need some help here. Or suggestions and Recommendations.
I have a B17A that I want to rebuilt back to stock Specs. But I figure, since Im going to open it up, I should change to P73 pistons and rods and maybe some other internals.
What do you guys think I should do?? Which pistions should I use?
How can I get the most torque and HP from a stock setup using parts from
Type R, B18 GSR and LS or parts from a B16.
Also, would every thing fit into a B17??
Ex. Would B18 pistions fit a B17 Motor??
Any help would be great...... thanks

i dont think you can swap pistons from any Bseries engine into a B17A, correct me if i'm wrong kids, then again why rebuild to stock just bore it out to 1.8 liters and put some i dunno,.....GSR pistons or ITR
you can use any b series pistons. they will all fit because of the fact that the b17 is essentially a b16. b16 piston(P30) would yeild you the highest CR. depending on which piston you use, will depend if they will bolt to the rods or not. the rods are the different ones.
So, type R pistions and rods wont give me a high compression???
I figure since type R motors have higher, C.R, I thaught that it would boost the compression in my B17.
And So B16 Pistons would give me the highest CR. About how much Compression should I get???
Thanks
