Fill Trans Fluid thru Vss Hole?

Default Fill Trans Fluid thru Vss Hole? / Jdm ITR TB question

Can i fill the trans fluid thru the VSS hole? i got it out to do some work on it and it looks like a cleaner way to fill the trans

How will you know when it is full?

I usually run a hose from a topside funnel to the fill port.

the manual says 4 qts


Is that right?

The factory service manual says 2.3 qt for a fluid change or 2.4 qt for an assembly.

i just do it throuhg breather hole so no need to mess with vss and nothing to unscrew.. obviously i open the fill hole and wait until it starts to run out from there..

measure 2.3 qts and dump it in... No need to watch to see if it comes out the side hole, If you actually drained all the old stuff out

yeah i drained it all out for service and i have the Vss out anyway to replace it and i wanted to know if i could just dump the 2.3L thru there

Na i got OEm honda trans fluid.

on a side not can anyone name what the 3 metal nipples on the Jdm TB are for?

i got them all hooked up except for the one on the bottom.

Its going in to a Ef chassis BTW

The bottom one goes to the intake manifold and carries coolant.
