Well its got the stock LSD. I doesnt really have that much power to it, JDM B18C with bolt ons. Im going to buy some cheater slicks and im just making sure Im not going to break my new tranny. Its got a warranty from Acura but still.

its all how you drive.. you can damage transmission without extra hp. things like... high rpm drag lanches and powershifts

you can. just don't expect it to be in best of shape.. mine is holding up just fine at 260whp.. i take it easy during launch and don't force into gears while shifting and normally slow down and sit it into neutral at stop. change my transmission fluid every 15k miles and thats about it..

Powershifting will be a death sentence for your tranny. There is no need for it unless you are seeking that extra .01 in the 1/4 mile.

The warranty doesn't cover abuse.

Nor does it cover aftermarket modifications that lead to the catastrophic failure. So if you are pushing alot more whp than stock, they could easily chalk it up to that.

Alright then, no powershifting for this one. What about launches? How high can I launch it. There is a write up on HT about launch technique on a R. He launches I think at like 7500 in his R.

With slicks (sticky stuffs), you'll probably break axles before you break the tranny.
A little mechanical sympathy can go a long way.

Just be sure to preload the drivetrain and you can launch it as high as you want.

If you plan on dumping the clutch off the rev limiter you might have problems down the road. Ride the clutch for just a millisecond and you should be golden IMO.
