Thanks GaiSensai.

Even the flash animation doesn't do justice to how eye catching the signal becomes with the Trickflasher, especially at night. And it is not annoying like those double or triple flashing rate relay.

If none of the four built-in pattern fit your taste, we can also do custom programmed pattern also.

Yes it is plug and play. (no need to cut any wire).

The general installation instruction is here.
http://www.trickflasher.com/20...r.pdf

For all Honda/Acura, there is only one style of relay. So this supplimental instruction would literally make it a 1-2 minute install job.

Ba4, thanks for the suggestion.

I've tried recording it on a digital camera (mpeg movie), but the flashing does not come out right. The signal light looks brighter that it is, and the signal looks to stay on longer than it actually is. It might have something to do with the camera sensor. Maybe it can be recorded better with proper lighting in a studio.

We got one and tried to install on a Mazda 6. Unfortunately their relay has like 20 pins so we're going to have to do some major rewiring. Do you have a diagram for that relay?

Then we plugged it into the standard 3 prong Honda relay on my Integra just to see how it works. Patterns are neat and easy to control. I just wish there were jumpers or dials to make your own pattern (maybe based on 3 or 4 levels) or maybe some kind of network interface so you can upload/change the patterns. I would pay $80 if it had a USB plug and could store custom patterns.

Hi Boofster,

I'll check to see if the Trickflasher can be wired up to the Mazda. What year and model is the Mazda?

Thanks for the suggestion also on the USB. We wanted to come out with a lower cost unit first, thus without any user programmable feature. The general US market for aftermarket product is very price sensitive. The next goal for the Trickflasher is to cover as many model as possible. In the meanwhile, we do offer custom pattern for a fee. Contact us at info@trickflasher.com

kind of reminds me of the old japanese ones. they had two version. the high speed flasher and the latin beat flasher. you can adjust the speed on those with a **** (probably a potentiometer). but anyways nice invention.

is there a way to adjust the speed....i would like one setting to be just the normal flash but faster.

is that something easy to do or is that one of the special setting that would have to be customly done?

Hi jmayhew,

The Trickflasher does not have any speed adjustment. It will have to be a custom programmed unit.

Please email us at info@trickflasher.com and we will discuss if we can accomdate your request.

Regards,

I found use for this only for show. Had to plug back my regular relay because there is a 1sec delay which is not practical for daily driving. They use that 1sec for programming so there's no way around it.

State law vary between different state, so we cannot say for sure.

In California, we were not able to find any specification for the signal flashing rate.
None of the customer had complain to us that they were hassle by the cop, so I do not believe it is a problem.

The Trickflasher can switch to OEM flashing very easily, so you can also switch back to regular flashing.

Hi Boofster,

I've sent you a reply to your PM. Maybe you didn't check message lately. But the long delay is not normal. Please email us at info@trickflasher and we will take care of the problem.

The Trickflasher has a 1/2 second delay to look for user input for programming, so it should not be such a long delay that you'll finish your turn before it comes on.
