Welder for JDM Conversion

I saw many places, that tells you how to put the JDM conversion together. I went through my USDM radiator support and found it easy to take out...but my real question is about the welder. Is there a centain type of welder I'll need for me to weld the JDM radiator support? I mean, I see diff amps and diff prices. I found one for $200 at home depot...has about 100 amp I believe. Will that do? If anyone can give me some info, I'd really appreciate it. Thanks guys....Hoping to finish my JDM project in 2 weeks w/ the paint job (candy apple red - House of Kolor)
Hey man-
You will want to buy yourself a MIG machine. The one that you saw at Home Depot was a MIG machine, but was very small and will not accept shielding gas, only flux-core welding. Spend a little more and buy a 135 amp machine from Lincoln, Miller, or Hobart. Lowes sells the Lincoln 135 for around $425 or so, then add $100 for a bottle of shielding gas, plus a helmet. Your probably looking around $600 to get everything you'll need and do it right. GOOD LUCK!
