Hey all, i recently fixed a dead o2 sensor and after that i noticed my car noticeably ran quicker. i thought it was the new o2 but it went back to normal the next time i drove it. I reset the ecu again, and it ran better, until i turned car off and started it again. Is there any reason why resetting my ecu will do that?

 

it prolly relearn everything u got. did u left ur engine running for 10-15 mins without touching the gas or any accessory on?

no i didn't i'mma go do that now.

 

When you reset the ECU, you're resetting the fuel trim values. As you drive the car, the ECU uses the O2 sensor to re-learn those values.
