sensor on front of tranny ****searched****
I just put my new clutch in last night........first time......and I am wondering what the little round sensor is (the one that you screw into the front of the tranny) on the lower front part of the transmission.
I am also curious how easy it is to break your speedometer. I heard something "pop" as I was tightening it down. There wasnt a lot of pressure on it when I heard it pop but it made me nervous none the less. The speedo didnt work when I test drove it but I am thinking that it could be that its just not tightened down all the way.
One more thing,.....I am throwing a CEL now (havent been able to pull a code yet) and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the speedo sensor,....or the tranny sensor. I guess you need to know that while I was taking the tranny out, I didnt even notice the tranny sensor so I accidentally pulled the plug off of the wires.......when I hooked them back up I wasnt sure of their polarity(both wires were green/black going to sensor)so if there is a wrong way to hook them up,.... it could be crosswired right now.
Has anyone else ever experienced these same problems??

The one in the front of the transmission is the speedo sensor i believe. The backup sensor is at the top. Eitherway, changing a clutch shouldn't be a problem with that sensor, unless something in your trans is a problem.
