hey guys, i keep blowin my ecu fuse....what is the deal with that? is it a short somewhere or what?

 

tons of different connections will blow that ECu fuse, injector short, o2 short, iacv short, etc.. time to get a shop manual and start hunting.

 

what if the ecu fuse blows when i turn on the power only and not start the motor???

 

Then you have a short somewhere and you need to get some wiring diagrams to hunt it down.

 

Stick your nose on the ECU and sniff. Does it smell burned? There is a diode that has burned up on some ECU's and caused the fuse to go. Best thing to do would be borrow someone's ECU and see if it corrects the problem. However, if you've got a 'bad thing' somewhere, you could fry the loaner ECU too.

If you've done some serious mods and hacked into the wire harness, start there and double check your splice jobs.
