Default Special Tribute To 99slammedcivic .... Car will forever be missed and loved

Ok guys... here it goes : ( not sure if everyone heard about my car yet so i'll make if official ) ...

On Sunday Night on my way back from the Mall, my car caught on fire and basically blew up.... I called 911 and watched my car burn down untill they put it out.

I loved and was obsessed with this car like a maniac.... I put all my money , time , and effort into it. I never drove it to work for the fear of it getting stolen and or dinged up. It was always garaged and washed weekly in and out.

This is what it started with and how i ,99slammedcivic, ended.

Bought the Car stock from Honda Cars of Mckinney in January 2002 w/ 50k on it..
May I remind you the car was automatic also ! ....

After the first 1-2 years of being a ricer on 18inch enkei rs6 wheels/loud annoying exhaust and a gay header/intake on my AUTOMATIC... i found the light on Honda-tech and this is when i started loving my car.

The First Transplant was the AUTO to MANUAL swap done by Teddy at Swap Shop. It was still a d series motor but now converted to 5spd... 2 weeks later, i found an LS motor/Tranny and thus made the transplant from D series to B series...

Then I Messed around w/ LS w/ GSR tranny shortly after and this lasted for exactly 11 months b/f i finally decided to go turbo ( i had 2 previous kits but never put them on ) and my buddy Brandon ( jdmh22hatch ) installed my kit and then Stoney at Velocity made my intercooler piping/exhaust and tunned my car.

Car ended up putting down 304whp/247 wtq on like 13.9 pounds or so... ( b16 tranny now and still stock 2000 Ls motor ) .....

Mods to the Car:

2000 LS motor w/ 45k and 00 Si tranny
S2000 black seats
Leather Si Rear Seats
Hasport Motor Mounts
16inch Gt3's w/ sick tires
Tein SS coilovers
Rear lower Tie bar
Si Console/Si Radio
Front upper bar
Si front Lip
CTR Cluster
OEM Retrofitted Headlights
Carbon Fiber hood
Si rear lip
Si grill
Sc61
Painted side skirts
Fal Fan
Skunk2 camber kit
ACT XTSS clutch
ITR flywheel (freshly resurface)
Fluidyne radiator
3bar map
Greddy catch can
Alarm and all
Inline Pro Fuel Rail
Intank Walbro Fuel pump
Inline pro manifold
full 2.5 inch custom piping
Victor X Edelbrock IM
Benen Rear upper bar
Benen Strong Bar
Precision Med. FMIC
880's precision injectors
hondata s200 w/ boost
Tial 35mm wastegate
Xs Rfl bov
Si rear disc brakes
Full 3inch turbo exhaust
and much more

AND NOW THE TRUTH... I WASNT RACING OR ANYTHING... JUST DRIVING AND MY CAR STARTED BOGGING AROUND 4k... so i thought i blew my motor... i pull up to the light to stop and my buddy is next to me in his car.... Next thing i know, i smell gas and tell him... he tells me i'm leaking and BOOOOMMM i wanna cry right now ... this sucks incredibly soooo much

To all those that i raced and found out this car was no joke, i had a lot of fun w/ you guys. My car wasn't the fastest by no means, but it sure did surprise people and a couple members on this board can vouch ....

Special Thanks to all my friends on honda-tech that helped me out with all my newbie questions and that sold/bought parts from me. I'm not sure what the next step will be, but I sure wish my car was still in my garage right now ... I"ll never forget this birthday present.. my bday is on the 19th of this month

DAMN!! I can't believe that happened. I am so sorry Hisham. That makes me so sad, after all the effort you have put in the car. And I didn't get a ride either. I hope you come back better than ever.

Any insurance compensation.
This really does suck man. I know its much harder when in real life when its your car.
But one thing. Get right back on that horse. Maybe try all motor this time, just for something new. or do whatever you want and better luck in the future.

Damn... this is one of the cars I had seen posted in the DFW threads quite a bit and it was one of my favorite due to the look of it. No diss to the car, but at least you'll be able to sell some of the items from the car, especially those wheels. I thought you got rid of them. At least you're alright. I mean, I'm not sure what sparked but it makes me feel like I need to be more cautious about that small gas drop I saw coming from my fuel rail. I mean it's right about the starter.

Sorry Hisham, but please update us whenever you find out the actual cause of the fuel leak and what initiated the fire. Good luck on the future ride if you decide to keep with it.
