Finally tested the speed limiter
I was starting to think it would not do much more than 120.
Got up to 140 this weekend on a long deserted road. It took a while and I had to shut it down before I felt the like I had the last of it. There was a significant headwind too the car like it was starting to float a bit. From 120-140 took a while

Yeah, I don't think thats very close to the top end. I had mine up to 140 and it was still pulling relativly strong. I think I could have hit 150 with a few more minutes.

i dont know how you guys do it, i just can't seem to find the ***** to test the top speed, too many factors come into play that could cause me to wreck and die, oh well i guess i'll just live vicariously through your stories, hehe
There are several places around here where I do around 80-90mph for 15-30 minutes straight. The place where I hit 140, I was already doing around 90 and no one else was on the road. It was a 3 lane highway with a longass straight stretch. Didn't take but a few seconds. But yeah, I was a little shakey afterwords.
...Theres nothing like hitting vtec in 5th!

Things that went through my head last time I hit 115.
1. What if I get caught? Can I live w/o my license?
2. What if I die?
I got my car up to about 137 once and it was still pulling strong. It was scary and exciting all at the same time.
I love the sound of 5th gear VTEC

Under optimum conditions it's not a problem to end up "cruising" at 100-110 mph.
But then you think about question #1 above.

You'd get run over on I35 south between Dallas-Waco-Austin if you ran this slow
Those people do not drive, they fly low.
After my whole setup was in and tuned, my tach showed 250km/h. We have the JDM FD but not speed limited like in Japan.

As for the "driveability" - I had on Kumho 712's at the time & it was not bumpy or floating at all. It was actually quite comfortable other then I didn't want a freak'n deer or rodent to jump out across the hwy

I hit 142 on an empty section of interstate. It will certainly get your heart going. I didn't go faster mostly because I'm scared as **** of
a. Going to jail/losing license/paying major fines
b. DEER
and c. the unexpected
But I know she'll go faster than 142... I think this weekend I'm going to try to top it out again with a friend and video camera. I'll post the vid if we decide that we're insane enough to do it and can find a relatively safe road.
