Default are my springs, shocks bad. How can i tell >>

i have a set of ground control custom rate coil over 350f/450r and a set of koni yellows that have about 547miles on them.

i hit a curb real hard, and busted both my front wheels, and ripped a trailing arm bushing.

i ripped everything apart for replace on the front and rear of the car. im wondering if the coil overs and shocks are ok. they look fine. no physical damage.

how can i be sure. the last thing i want to do is have my susension go at the track.

any help would be great.

i called and left messages for both ground control and koni explaining my problem, and neither one of them have returned my call yet.

thanks

If the parts do not appear to have any external damage, then they are probably fine. Check the shocks for any leakage at the main seal where the rod goes into the body (a slight bit of moisture is expected to keep it lubricated but drips or runs are bad). Also turn the adjuster mechanism and make sure that youa re getting the proper number of turns and it is not stuck or getting less than one turn.

If those parts check out, you are probably fine. I would go ahead and use them and keep an eye out periodically to see if they begin to seep at all. If they check out, I very greatly doubt that you could have a catastrophic failure on track with these.

There is your reply from Koni.

Yup. I don't think it would be covered under warranty, but they can certainly do it...
