92TypeR's Expo5 in-car track footage
Despite only getting approximately 10 minutes of track time during the entire course of the Expo, I still had a blast. It was great to finally put names with the faces.
Thanks to the locking nut on my AEM Fuel pressure regulator, and faulty voltage regulator on my alternator (forcing me to drive a 5 hour round trip to Kansas City to get a new alternator), I was limited to only a brief appearance during most of the track festivities, but I still managed to get a bit of the second session on tape.
There is also a brief appearance of the a$$hole S2000 driver, which includes a black-flag
Please excuse the DIY camera mount I'm using, it has a tendency to start rotating to the left during hard corners, so by the end of the video, you might be looking out the driver's window

Good looking' vid. Thanx for sharing. Sorry to hear about all the troubles you had resulting in minimul track time. Looks like you made the best of it.
There is no way i am missing Expo next year.

I think you need to invest in a better camera mount, Sorry about dissing on the one you made but it sucks
Looks like you got a fast caR that needs more track time, better luck next time at the track.
pssst, don't keep your thumbs inside the wheel while driving, dangerous.

Its frustrating, but nothing I can't put behind me. I'll be there next time, but I'll trailer her instead.

That was my first time on-track with the new block, and its definately a new car. I have a few scheduled lapping days here this summer, you'll probably see some vids posted then.

Its a hard habit to break, instructors have been telling me that for years

I thought that was supposed to be a secret!!
Nice video... until the camera shifts anyway.
Your car sounds nice! I think I may go 2.0L also.
I agree with Rob about track time. Not that I am an expert, but after turn 3 you can go ballz out through turn 4 if you put the gator on the drivers door and hit 100+ heading into turn 5/6.

Really? I've never heard that before, then again...I don't really listen. What's so bad about it?
92TypeR...were you the one with the battery light on?

Those were my first laps ever at mid-america, so I hadn't learned the line really, just from the 3 laps I had an instructor from the first session.

If you lock your thumbs on the inside of the wheel and you go off-roading, the resulting force through the drivetrain and suspension can really do some damage to your digits.
And yes, that was me with the battery light. Turned out to be the voltage regulator on my alternator, was feeding ~17 volts through my system, and blew my oil pressure gauge. The video was after I unplugged the alternator and was just running off the battery, then the fuel pressure dropped to 0 when the locking nut on the adjuster flew off...that took about 4 hours to diagnose
Next time its on
