valve seals. sorry.

Actually-- when I cracked a ringland, I would actually foul my spark plug with oil during deceleration, and would have to replace it to get it to start firing again. Take a look at your plugs, see if one is oily.

How long ago was that, before or after the blue smoke you are noticing?

as mentioned before this is valve seal related.. smoke after letting of gas should be related to that. does it happen all the time?

I had the same problem too. I would get some mean smokescreen on decel at the auto-x. It ended up being a hole in my valve cover breather hose. Try checking that.

i just replaced a cloged pcv valve and need to check it again. when i first noticed it the hoses to my catch can(pcv, to can, to intake manifold) were colapsed.

Any theory on HOW those two things are related?

I believe that if you equalize the pressure between the top of the cylinder head and the combustion chamber, the oil is less likely to get sucked down the valve guides. If you have a hole in the valve cover breather hose that goes to the intake manifold, the pressure differential will be between atmosphere and the negative pressure during the inhalation stroke. That is my theory.

theories.. gotta love them.. guess what.. i don't even have a valve cover hose.. my breather is open at all times. what you're saying is completely unrelated and makes no sence..
