Default D17 Crank Thread

OK guys, I figure all motor is the best forum for this. I did some searching on using a d17 crank in a d16 block and nobody really had any definative answers.
Has anybody succesfully done this? From what I understand the rod journals are narrower than other d series, but if this is true you could just use d17 rods I would think.

I'm thinking that a d17 crank along with 77-78mm pistons would give me around a 1.8L, which would rock.
Pleas do not reply with any bs about the RS ratio. I don't care, not interested. If I do this it will not be taken above 7500 rpm, and if it blows up it blows up but I want to try.
I just need to know what to do.

Specifically I want to do this in a ZC block.
Thanks guys

Yeah, I found a few threads, but it was all people hypothesizing about it. I haven't found a thread where anyone said they actually did it.

I wouldn't even worry about it except I have seen d17 cranks go for like $50. I'm buying forged rods and pistons anyway, so I'm not scared of the wimpy stock d17 rods.

I tried searching too, but couldnt find the thread I was thinking of... but there was a guy on here who had one in his D16Y8 and he had it running. IIRC you have to do some machining to the crank snout? and you have to use the D17A oil pump too.
