Photo freaks! I got a new camera!
edit: scroll down 4 pics..
-------------------------------
Just got one of these,
I'm pretty stoked cuz i've been hoping for a camera like this for some time now.
(point and shoot, but with SLR'esque controls)
Olympus c7070

Pretty nifty cam if ya ask me.
anyone else out there using this model?
Or any other olympus fans in general?
A few really cool features i'm digging on the camera,
aside from the crazy ammount of manual controls it gives you.
It takes BOTH compact flash, AND XD memory(had 2 slots).
and a super wide angle lens.
Pretty cool super macro mode as well, you can be up to 1.2" from your subject.
heres a shot I took real quick with the camera.
completely un-edited, I just sized it down.
Still learning the ins/outs of the cam.
I guess the point of this post was just to brag, cuz I'm stoked on my new cam.
But I'd love to hear from other olympus jockeys, or cam guys in general.
Any tips would be coo.
thnx

What did you pay?
You've really interested me with this camera. The retail price is kinda high, but I found some pretty good prices.
Maybe I could talk someone into getting it for me as a graduation present.

Go to cnet.com! that is where I found the best prices.
I got mine for 380 shipped with 2day air from newyork to cali!!
that is a freaking STEAL if you ask me.
and pricewatch.com also has good prices(usually pricewatch wins the pricewar but cnet had more sites to choose from).

no way! I just got this!
I was looking at the canon pro1,
as it's image quality ratings were really high on cnet,
and the camera looks cool as well.
but I like my olympus, the image quality is really good, it's more about
accurately reproducing what your shooting, than producing images that "pop"
which is good in my opinion.
Also the canons are so damn slow and EXPENSIVE

more pics sorry large dl's....
again, unedited..
Some stuff of my friends sk8'ing,
and this ledge I spent ages waxing up..
Last but not least, got a shot of my engine bay
I'm liking the colors and contrast the camera is producing.
I tend to slightly underexpose my shots a'lil usually, leaves room to bring things up
when you get into editing them.
