Center Channel Speaker
Center channel speaker is mostly for imaging. I just got an pioneer in-dash dvd player with fold out screen and heard that a center channel speaker will help round out the sound.
yes and no...its hard to get really good imaging in a car with a center channel. mostly because of the mounting location. in theory your center channel should be mounted at the same height as the left and right channels and it should also be the same as the other speakers, ie timber matched. in my opinion a really good left and right setup with good components properly installed will yeild better results for a little less effort and less money.
If you are looking for a center channel speaker because your dvd/monitor/deck has 5.1 capability for your DVD video or audio, Alpine has a new DIN sized center channel speaker.
