Default Problem with my Alpine CD changer (CD-0)

(CD-0, not E-0, can't change the title)

It's an Alpine CHA S614 that I installed in October of '98 (I have a '99 Honda Accord LX).

Its hooked up to my factory head unit. It was working fine ever since I installed it, until about a week ago. Now it won't play and the display reads: "T 00 Disk 0" When I try to change the CD I can hear it try to access the CD for about a second, then I can hear the CD go back.

Also, it's a 6 disk CD changer but one of the CDs is missing. I honestly can't remember if I only had 5 CDs in there, or if one of the CDs is stuck. When I take out the magazine I don't see any CDs sticking out of the unit or anything like that.

Here's some pictures of the unit:

Any ideas? I know that E-01 means a stuck disk, but this just says "T00 CD0" (where CD is normally 1 through 6, depending on which CD I'm listening to and T of course is the track number).

Thanks!

Try this, eject magazine, remove the 5 CDs that are in it, reinstall mag. try and play CD again, if it works or not eject mag., if you had a 6th CD, it should reload into the mag., if there was one and it did reload reinstall the other 5 and you should be good to go, you can also try a reboot, once you have removed the 5 CDs and reinstalled the mag. let it cycle, eject the mag. if it picked up the 6th disk, you are done, if not or there is no 6th disk, reinstall the mag. and disconnect the neg. (-) batt term., wait 5 min then reconnect, reload the mag. and try again. 94

‘doh! I should have thought to take the disks out to see what it would do, thanks for reminding me to try that.

I just took all the disks out and put the radio to CD, it shuffled between all 6 disks but didn’t turn up anything since I had taken all the disks out. So I put one disk back in and it shuffled to that disk and started playing. I’ll reload everything on my way home, it should work fine now. Thanks for the help.
