Default Good Idea or Bad Idea?

Ok so I have a bone stock 96' dx hatch. just has omni coil overs. This kid wants to trade his 92' 4 door with an LS and rota gt3's, cf lip, cf hood and full exahust. All it really needs is some new interior. is it stupid to go from 96 to 92. i mean the car has **** on it. and my budget sucks, im poor it will take me mad long to get a motor and this one has one. and wheels, and everything else i want. good idea, or no?

keep your hatch, less weight which you'll need in the long run. Four doors are cool with a kid but not if you want a fast car. Don't get me wrong Evo's hold their own but nothing beats a honda smoking american 5.0's with a small 2.0 or less. Keep the hatchie but do what you want it's not our choice you're the one who drives it.

You never know how ghetto-rigged the swap was and if it was romped on. Keep the hatch. It is a grocery getter. No need to save thousands for a swap. Leave it just like that.

4-Doors are pretty clean and make nice sleepers.

That one is pretty clean. If its what you want then snag that baby up.

BTW 4-doors are not much heavier then some hatches.

77 lbs. aint much, and the LS has more than enough torque to push that extra 77 pounds.

id take the 4 door, people under estimate them

You mean it's a stock *** 4 door? Jesus Christ, Timmy! It's a stock Civic lowered on Rotas: the Honda-Tech standard. That isn't clean, it's stock. And no, the lip doesn't change that.

i think im gonna take the 4 door. and boost it. maybe rebuild it up tho. cause i know it was beat on. but all it really needs is interior. and i dont mind that, im just gonna throw in some recaros and keep the backseats out

Whats in it for him? Ask yourself that question.
Kind of a lop-sided trade dont you think. Is he really willing to give up the work he's put into the 4door for a stock hatch? Smells fishy to me.
