Alright I was looking on eBay and found this civic. Work looks fabulous and the hood he has is what I have been looking for. It says its from Endless and its a racing hood.

rather expensive. I don't see too many pics of anyone having them so I guess its a little rare. Its almost $500 so I guess most just dont wanna shell out the dough.

I found this one when I was looking for vented hoods other than the standard CF one that has the vent way up front.

Car/hood looks nice and all but why would you go outta your way and pay more for just a little air vent? If you're good with your hands and have some body work experience why not just buy an oem cf hood and DIY. I work at a motorsports place and I'm always constantly telling people that but I guess they would much rather pay more for less carbon.

Buddy Club makes a vented style carbon hood. The vent is a bit bigger though i think. http://www.aj-racing.com

there is not a butt load on eBay. this has a vent up near the top like were the scoop on a WRX hood would be and then also has a raised scroop/vent right were our intake filter is. imho one of the best designed hoods ever.

There is another foward facing vent. The only car ive seen it on is the same one in the pic at andysautosport.com and it sa road racing car with the intake basically hooked through that vent.

AS for as i know it is not made by endless jsut used on their sponcered eg racecar

I'd like that hood if it was fiberglass, I assume you want it for the engine bay cooling or is it for the look?

why would you want a heavier hood? carbon fiber > fiberglass. Its not so bad, i'd get one if i had some itb's and could functionally use the vent.

fiberglass is not much heavier, I'm just not a fan of how carbon fiber hoods look and usually fiberglass is cheaper. Do you think a hood like that would help engine bay cooling?

It would defonilty help engine bay cooling problem is if you have a short ram air intake youll be putting rain directly onto the filter, If you have a CAI already then no problems.

I guess the weight diff there is a relative thing. I would def want to save the extra few lbs on my car, but that's me. if you don't like the look, paint it. i'm sure it helps some with engine bay cooling, but there are steps you can take for that before buying a new hood.

What steps can I take for cooling before a new hood? I have to get a new hood anyway so that is why I was asking. I don't like the look of prop the rear of the hood up but any other suggestion I am willing to think about.
