i was just wondering if anybody knew if the entire rear brake assembly from a 99-00 Civic Si was the same as the integra, i know they use the same brake pads, so i can assume the caliper and rotors are the same, but what about the whole hub and rear trailing arm. would they bolt right in, in place of my integra ones. reason im asking is because the rear brakes on my 94 teg are shot, and i cant get the caliper bracket bolts off, (11 years and 155K of MN year round driving, and never once replaced) so needless to say, i gota do something quick. i got an offer from a guy about some Si ones with low miles. so basicly if anybody knows if all the parts in the rear brake assembly and all that are the same and completly swappable from Civic Si to Teg, please let me know, thanks!
Yes they are interchangable. If you get the Si calipers, make sure you get the brake lines to match (just in case they are different)...

ok thanks, well as for the brake lines, i was planning on getting a russell SS set. do u think i would have problems with brake lines? i mean, if the whole assembly is identical, then y would the lines be differant? oh yea, and would it matter that my teg has ABS and the im prettty sure the Si didnt have ABS, so would that change anything about the calipers or anything?
The only reason I mention the brake lines is because I've heard rumors that there are two different types of calipers with different mounting locations for the brake line. One has a bend in the fitting, and one doesn't. I do not know for sure since I've only seen the bent fitting lines/calipers... If your buying SS lines, just get the ones for the car that the brakes came from.
Also, I would suggest getting SS lines that have a cover over the stainless braids. Neuspeed (bright yellos) and StopTech (clear) are the only two I've seen. The cover protects the lines from dirt getting between the braids and wearing on the teflon line underneath.

If you're concern about the quality of the russels. Don't worry I have the set going on for 4 yrs now and no issues at all.

Each end on the lines have the protective coating. I've driven in Colorado snow, a few times off road(not smart if you have a FWD car), and yes I drive my car year round. The car has been through temperature ranging from 125 degrees to 15 degrees with the Russell lines on and no issues at all.

This is why the StopTech and Neuspeed are a bit more. In addition to the anti-chaffing collar (what your talking about above), there is also a protective sleeve over the braids...
