Ignitor on 87 crx? Spark for 1st few tries then nothing....

Ignitor on 87 crx? Spark for 1st few tries then nothing....
Car gets spark the first few times then nothing. Replaced coil and alternator.
Does this sound like an ignitor problem? (I know nothing of this gen. - do they have ignitors lol). Suggestions?
