would anyone knoe if there would be a problem if i used an igniter from a 1.5 cx motor and put it in a 1.5 vtec-e? i knoe that on my vx the distributor that it uses is off a 1.6 vtec..i put it in and it starts up and no problem at idle or load..would i have any drivability concerns or electrical problems..i had to use it cuz i aint gots 150 for a new one from a local parts house..

 

i dont see why you should have any problems... i have swapped coils and igniters on many different cars with ones that werent for that specific model... as long as its the same obd and bolts up correctly i think you will be fine

 

did you have any problems smogn it?

 

no but our standards in tx are alot less strict than california so i dunno what kind of effect that would have
