Default motor assembly in general...

Hey guys...I have a few basic 4-cyl motor assembly questions.

1) Cleaning the head---is it ok to clean the head using Varsol and cleaning the valve seals using the same product?

2) when assembling a head with the valvetrain, what do I need to lubricate and grease up?

Thanks
bart

Lots Of It!

Also using varsol will not hurt the head, although i would be hesitant to get it around the seals...

You may want to throw some oil inbetween the seat and the head to insure a good "oil seal" yet other than that, Just check the installed height, rocker arm to retainer clearance. Seal to guide clearance etc..
