This is my goal for my 00 Si before I retire it to shows only. I will be doing a full race built block and head with a t4 custom turbo setup pushing around 30 pounds. The car doesn't see the track anymore, but I want to see the numbers on the dyno.

 

hopefully that is what my setup will push out once i break in the engine and tune it. my goal is 450 hp.

 

there is a kid here in salt lake that is pushing 400 hp in a del sol
i think he has a drag set up

 

there are quite a few over 400, but i'm not sure any are dailys.

 

My daily driver did 418 at the wheels at 22psi of boost. That was w/ a stock head and a .57 trim. I now fully built my head and got a 60-1 turbo. I'm hoping to put out about 450 at the wheels now. And its still a daily driver.

 

Why would you build such a tough car, only to retire it to sissy car show status?

After a while racing gets old... sometimes you need a change of atmosphere. I know that sometims i dont feel like racing but rather just go to car show and enjoy the environment. But deep down inside i bet he still has burning sensation to take that beast to the track and tear up some cars. It always in our blood.

 

I already compete in car audio and have too much money tied up in that aspect of the car to risk racing it. The 400hp is just a personal goal I want to accomplish. The Si will be trailored with in the next year for full show use only and I will buy a new project car. The 318ti with M3 swap has my eye next.
