Default cams?? are they a hassle??

I want to put in some new camshafts( ITR, CTR ) but am I gonna run into alot of problems when they go in?
Problems such as engine light coming on or running rich or lean or anything like that? Also, they are a good
idea even if I'm gonna go turbo right?

No problems at all.
If done properly, you will never get a check engine light because of the cams.
Stock cams (like CTR) are not big enough to need extra fuel, your stcok ECU and fuel pressure regulator can handle them.

You mean Extra fuel supply right?
There is no way youll see the same fuel economy with a larger cam with longer duration. Mabye not a big difference, but if the intake stroke is longer, more fuel goes in on each stroke.

You'll need more fuel, trust me.

When I put in ITR cams, and an ITR intake manifold, I LOST 8 hp until I added fuel and got it back on track.

Car sounded mean, but it was actually slower after the install. I was fortunate to be able to put my car on a dyno and tune it with my Shogun Tuner, and gained 13 HP over stock once we adjusted the timing and fuel levels...

Hint: You're gunna go WAY lean past VTEC with ITR/CTR cams.

so how do I keep it from going lean once I hit vtec? Or is that just unavoidable?

b&m fuel pressure regulator and gauge....u can get one for 80-90 bucks.that will handle all ur fuel problem...also a chipped ecu will help also with fuel.my mugen one dumps more fuel as the rpm rises in the vtec range. NO AFC if u dont have 250-300 bucks.

Is this before or after the motor was already boosted? That makes a huge difference.
