Honestly, they look like aftermarket OEM replacement shocks that are painted yellow (probably manufacturers trademark color). They are definitely not Koni, and they are definitely not OEM. The OEM shocks have the brake line bracket in a ring that is pressed onto the bottom of the shock. My CRX has aftermarket replacements that are blue with that exact same "tack-welded" brake line bracket...

question about the brakeline, do u have to place it in a certain way when you install new shocks, specifically konis, so the brake line isn't interefered with?

For Konis - remove the brake line bracket from the stock shock and use it. When you look at the stock front shocks it appears that the brake line bracket is welded on but its just press fit. Take a BFH to it and it comes right off. It's important to use the brake line bracket from the original shock because it is also acts as a spacer between the suspension fork and the shock bottom stop. Without it the whole shock spring unit will be about 1"-2" too low and you may have interference between the bottom of the shock and the LCA. Do a search and look for pics. Also CRXLee posted a cheap way to modify the brake bracket that can lower the front end about 1" while still maintaining full shock and spring travel.

my opinion... don't install the coilovers until you have the money to buy good shocks. you'll end up doing a lot of unnecesary extra work, and besides, what's the point of putting together a half *** suspension.

I drove on stock shocks with my ground controls for 5 years. The car performed very nicly, and I never had a problem with blowing out my shocks...
