Default hondata w/ obd2?.....auto wiring harness question

hey whats goin on, i did a 5speed swap in my 97 ex last january. and when i installed a 5-speed ecu, the idle was jumpin back and forth like IAC only faster around 1500rpm. and when we threw on the scanner to try and find the codes it wasnt communicating. i heard that the sensor on the IM on the automatic was different then the 5speed sensor.

the question is that im goin to swap in a semi-built b16 and im prolly gonna use this wiring harness. if i swap the motor, will i still have the same problems due to the auto harness?i know i could prolly buy a whole new 5speed harness, but is there anything else easier?

question 2.... im keepin this car and motor obd2 cuz i have a 96-98 jdm dohc ecu. would i be able to get hondata on a obd2 ecu? if not i will prolly just got to vafc

You can't run hondata on a obd2 ecu. The ecu must be obd1.
You do not have to run a manual harness for your vehicle to run properly.

You did not include any details on what exact swap you did or what code your throwing.

My guess is your throwing iacv code 14 and you need to do a 3 wire to 2 wire iacv change over etc...

i thought that u couldnt run it on obd2, but i just wasnt exacty sure. so i guess the next best thing for tuning would be vafc and/or chip the ecu? the motor im swappin is jdm b16a-ctr pistons, gsr head- crower 402's and springs/retainers, s2 IM, 68mm tb....
i havent been able to throw the scanner on the car w/ the auto ecu, but ill see what i comes up as. would i just be able to swap the sensors on the harness?? thanks
