DC5 HID Ballast blowing fuses
OK, I've a problem with a '01 JDM DC5. The R/h HID just stopped working, (fuse had blown) but there was condensation in the light, which I'm assuming caused the problem. Anyway, checked it all out, seems that the ballast (a mitsubishi unit) is the problem...there's a short in it, as far as I can work out.
Has anybody else had similar problems? And are the ballast units available seperately from the headlamp? Coz they look pricey!

if they call it the "01" DC 5, its probably because japan usually lists their models a year before ours. For example, the DC2 type R was released in late 95 in japan.....if it was released over here in the US at the same time we would have called it the 96 type R.

oh n btw irish...have you tried 30 amp fuses? I had the same problem, but that was because I was trying to push the HID lights with 10 amp fuses
put 30 amps in and all was well

Yeh, tried the 30A, it was all I had left as it happens...It's pretty much blowing he **** out of the fuses...bad short to ground. Cheers anyway.
The car is a JDM model, and it's badged as an Integra...which is why I'm posting here...But I'll put the question up in the RSX forum.
