Default Blown power steering hose, just a fluke?

Driving my car (02 type s,JRSC@5lbs, engine mounts, AEM V2, Hondata, progress springs) and all or a sudden the steering feels like I'm driving a truck....then the smoke starts!! Long story sort, I blew the high pressure power steering hose right at the weld at the power steering pump. It was just a hairline crack at the weld, but man that **** sprayed everywhere. I found that the hose is a $300+ part so I took it to a buddy/mechanic who welded it up better then new, only cost me $10 in power steering fluid. Anyway....we were discussing whether this will happen again, or if it was just crap luck. I think the spot may have been stressed when I put the super charger on and moved the power steering pump over to do the work. I think I could have stressed the weld and it broke over time. My other concern, and the reason I listed some of my mods, is that this could possibly be a vibration thing and will reoccur given time. I've tried to locate other instances of blown power steering hoses, and I was happy to not find any. Feed back is appreciated. Crap luck on a power steering move during an install, or a soon to be chronic problem?

jim (oside jimc) just had this happen to him too. it's because there was hairline fracture when you bent the piece during a step in the install of the supercharger.
