I have a DOHC ZC complete shortblock I was thinking can I use my z6 head on the dohc zc block??also I have both tranny's the zc tranny and the s20 tranny which one should I use??

 

Check H-T for the specs on gear rations. All D-series trannys are interchangable tho.

Your heads however, are NOT interchangable, as the DOHC D-series is the bastard child, and not interchangable. if you really want proof, search this forum, cause ONE person got it to work, but it ran like ****, didnt line up, and had severe reliability issues.

 

... Man everyone keeps saying this... And perhaps my vision was blurred at the time, but my buddy Danny has a ZC Block with a Z6 head.

It probably was a sohc zc block and I have a dohc zc block

 

I wasn't aware there was such a thing... That makes sense.

 

it will not work oil and coolants galleys are different, compare the head gaskets u will see...

isnt the z6 a sohc vtec? i didnt think you could put a single cam head on a dohc block
