Just add the one you would vote for. I added JL. I used to install Eclipse, Boston, and JL Audio equipment. Eclipse is overrated, JL and Boston are much better. The only Eclipse speakers I would rate well would be the old ribbon component sets, but they were not very reliable.

I can't belive Diamond Audio wasn't on this. On top fo the high-end Hex components, they make really nice amplifiers and some have a lifetime warranty. How awesome is that? A company that will stand behind their product like that!
This is really a bad question...because the best line in one brand will beat a lower line in another brand and whatnot.
One brand's budget line could be much better than a second brand's budget line, yet the second brand's top of the line will spank the first brand's top of the line.
Case in point, JL Audio. The TR series just plain sounds like ***, no two ways around it; and yet the XR's (and ZR's from what I have heard of them) are just simply amazing. For the money you can definately best JL in the budget price point, but there's not much that is "outright" beating them on the high-end market. (And don't forget how long the XR's have been on the market and are still amazing w/little changes throughout the years).
Then you have many other brands that make good low-cost setups where their attempts at making high-end products fall well short. No one brand is the "best" unless there is a budget involved. Then you can clearly tell the contenders at that price range.
Oh...that being said I will assume this is a "anything that money can buy" poll...so I would like to throw in the Oz Audio CS-180 (and the old CS-160's even) components into the mix (breathtaking), and Memphis' MCSQ line (great smooth & rich sound); then you can't forget Focal as a whole, if you have the money and can hear the difference then Focal is worth every penny.

I like what he said ^
I voted for Diamond Audios.. best to me, and if i had unlimited funds, they'd be in my car. Since I dont, i opted for some nakamichis

sorry to bust your bubble, but for the money, nothing beats DIY kits. im sorry to say, but JL is not nearly as good as you make them.
since we are on the topic of budget, nothing beats used prices on high end components, including buying used drivers to piece your own DIY component kit.
